Towel Day is fast approaching….
International Towel Day falls on May 25th. As an annual celebration of towels, which are the most useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have and in memory of Douglas Adams, author of the acclaimed Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
As the UKs biggest towel fans Hatton Textiles will be celebrating by wearing a towel or robe for the day. Fully aware that everyone has their favourite towel either in the airing cupboard, sports bag or waiting to be used on a trip to the beach or lido it was only right that the team chose their own garment to wear on the day.
In the picture Richard, Chris and Aiden are obviously shy having chosen a robe! Pete who loves the Scilly Isles has opted for a lounger towel (maybe he has something to cover up!). Dawn has gone for the luxury and comfort of a Louis Vuitton beach towel while Christie who is the foodie amongst us opted for a Pizza!
In the Hitchhiker series towels were used for many purposes including to sail a mini raft and as a tool in hand to hand combat, well those at Hatton may not be that adventurous but the towel will serve its purpose to hide some modesty and prove that everyone has their favourite!
Having seen an upturn in the number of large beach towels being sold this year for promotional purposes it really goes to prove that as an advertising medium there is nothing in the market with as long life or that provide such value for money.
Help us celebrate National Towel Day and pay respect to Douglas Adams by getting towels for your business!
